Meet The Crew
William "Bill" Baxter
Founder & Owner, The William Baxter Company
As the driving force behind the William Baxter Company, Bill Baxter has spent over four decades setting the standard for luxury residential and commercial construction across Western North Carolina. Known for his precision, architectural detail, and experience, Bill’s portfolio includes some of the region’s most distinguished homes and landmark commercial spaces throughout Bryson City and the Nantahala Gorge.
But Bill’s not all blueprints and building permits. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him blazing a mountain trail, swimming in Fontana Lake, or trying to keep up with his grandkids- who (according to reliable sources) can outrun him on most days.
Kevin Mullaney
General Contractor & Business Partner, The William Baxter Company
A Certified Financial Planner turned mountain builder, Kevin traded in city life and financial reviews for sawdust and summit views. After moving to Western North Carolina with his wife Hannah and their two kids, John and Birdie, he started his second act— first as a carpenter, and now as a licensed General Contractor and Bill Baxter’s “no-good” son-in-law and business partner.
Kevin brings a sharp mind for budgets and business paired with a science-informed approach to high-end homebuilding. When he's not keeping projects on track, he's out kayaking the Nantahala River, chasing his kids through the woods, or planning the next camping trip with his wife.
Hannah Mullaney
Director of Business Development, The William Baxter Company
As the daughter of Bill Baxter and wife of Kevin Mullaney, Hannah’s decision to join the family business came naturally. With a background in sustainable development and a deep-rooted love for Appalachia, Hannah brings fresh energy and purpose to her role as Director of Business Development. She's passionate about preserving the character of the region while helping shape a community that welcomes the next generation of mountain dwellers.
Hannah is a mom first, and her two kids keep her on her toes. When she’s not working with clients or weaving sustainability into the business strategy, she’s teaching yoga in Bryson City, trail running through the Great Smokies, or soaking up peace and quiet (or at least trying) on a float in Fontana Lake.
